A Montana lawmaker has introduced a bill that would eliminate taxes on the homes of those with a combined annual income over $100,000.
The House has approved a bill to eliminate taxes from properties with $100M+ in assessed value.
The bill has been referred to the Senate.
It’s not the first time Montana lawmakers have proposed such a measure.
A bill in 2016 eliminated the tax on the sale of single-family homes and condos.
The measure has yet to be approved by the Senate and would be up for a vote by the end of the month.
