An Indian company has sold the most valuable real estate course in history.
The Tata Real Estate Institute, a state-run institution, said it will sell its exam to private buyers on Monday.
The Tata Institute of Development and Technology, an organisation that trains engineers, has an average annual revenue of Rs.2.65 lakh crore.
The institute is a joint venture between Tata Sons and the state government of Uttar Pradesh.
The institute, which will be sold for Rs.1.5 lakh crore, will be managed by the state’s Planning Commission.
The sale is expected to take place in the coming months.
Tata Sons said in a statement that the exam is the most valued course in the world.
The university had a turnover of Rs 3,099 crore in 2012, according to official data.
It has about 1,500 students.
The exam is compulsory for all employees and students.
